3 useful sources for web development and web apps

Every day I visit a series of blogs and other resource sites that help me get through my day. As a thank you to the owners and writers I thought I’d write a little about some of the sites that have been useful to me today.

WebAppers
(website)
This blog is one of the first sites I hit every morning. The blog gives great information about “the Best Open Source Resources for Web Developers”, as stated by their slogan, and they’re not lying!

You’ll find a great deal of available web apps and constructive details about them in one place over at Webappers. More often than not the daily articles will give you a good read and link you to useful resources, something a web developer can never complain about.

Often Webappers will have simple competitions with great prizes such as a years subscription to Vyoopoint. How do you win these competitions? Simply comment on an article as quick as possible – there is nothing like a quick and easy competition.

Sohtanaka
(website):
A personal blog by an extremely talented developer and designer. The articles and tutorials on Sohtanaka’s blog are insightful and somewhat useful. If you do anything today make sure you take a look at this guys blog.

Sohtanak is also on twitter and worth following.

Go2Web20
(website):
As it says on the tin Go2Web20 is a “web application index”. If you want to find new web 2.0 apps or want to list your app this is the place for you.

I’ve found a great deal of useful web apps as well as inspiration over at Go2Web20 so it very much deserves a mention here. Go check it out, you wont be disappointed.

To keep up to date on the latest web 2.0 apps why not follow Go2Web20 on twitter.

Recommendations:
I think that will do for now however if you happen to have a resource you think is worth looking at feel free to comment below or email me at srcnix [AT] gmail.com and I’ll take a look – I’m always looking for more information resources.
